Heartsaver Basic Life Support

Heartsaver Basic Life Support is a two-year certification.  This course provides CPR/AED training for adult, child and infant patients suffering from stroke, heart attack, and cardiac arrest.  This course is usually provided to small business, churches and certain Day Care businesses not requiring Healthcare certification.  This class generally takes from 2 to 3 hours.

Heartsaver First Aid

A two-year certification providing training in trauma and medical emergencies.  Trauma to include bleeding and shock, burns, fractures and much more.  Medical training to deal with stroke and heart attack, diabetic emergencies, seizures and allergic reactions,  poisoning and much more.  This course generally takes 2 to 2 hours.

Health Care Provider

The standard for healthcare provider in the health profession detailed information on stroke, heart attack, cardiac arrest for adult, child and infants.  Three hours.  Written test required.

ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support

In-depth training in areas of stroke, heart attack and cardiac arrest to include drug therapy, airway management, electrical therapies and rhythm interpretation.   Renewal is 6 to 8 hours.  Initial is 8 to 10 hours.  Current Healthcare Provider card is required.

PALS/ Pediatric Advanced Life Support

In-depth training for the care and treatment of the infant and pediatric patient.  Topics include cardiac, shock and respiratory diseases.  Discussion in detail of pharmacology, airway management, IV/IO therapy.  Renewal requires 6 to 8 hours.  Initial is 12 to 14 hours.  Current Healthcare Provider card required.

NRP/ Neonatal Resuscitation Program

A specialty class dealing the delivery and care of newborns and high-risk infants.  Class covers airway management, IV/IO therapy and pharmacology.  Class time is 8 hours.

First Responder

40 hours of training and patient assessment for trauma and medical emergencies.  Respiratory, gynecological and mass casualty incidents are discussed.  Certification provided by National Safety Council.  Class to be delivered over five 8-hour days or evening classes are available.  Class availability depends on the number of students attending.

EMT-B/EMT-I

Classes are available depending on student participation.  Classes can be covered in 5 to 8 weeks.
